Sally Ries Wacht
"Thin Line"
Sally began her music career at a young age. After moving to New York City from a small town in Missouri at age 19, she performed in several Off-Broadway productions, sang jingles (including the original NBC Sports WNBA theme), worked on soap operas etc. before landing a record deal on Epic records as part of an all girl group called OSCAR. During that time, Sally sang backgrounds for many artists. Notably, Daryl Hall, Enya, Debbie Gibson, Kathy Sledge (Sister Sledge) and Tribe Called Quest. Songwriting became her passion and she quickly secured one of her songs, Some People, in the feature film "Let It Be Me". Soon after she was asked to perform the same song on a pilot for NBC director Rob Cohen (Fast and Furious). Sally went on to have several of her songs chart internationally. After raising 2 amazing girls and sadly losing her husband to Early Onset Alzheimer's/Pick's Disease at an early age, Sally is back writing, singing and co-producing her new material and having a blast. Today, Sally splits her time between NYC and Kansas City.
